E-commerce
E-commerce companies have changed how we shop and consume. They face many issues - data and privacy, cyber-security and website function compete with logistics and inventory management. They often also have significant fintech needs in terms of payments or point of sale credit products, which is another of our areas of focus.
In representing many successful e-commerce and logistics companies, I’ve learned what is important and how to efficiently help on the legal issues. I’ve negotiated partnership agreements, strategic investment deals from some of those key partners, and sales of ecommerce companies to both strategic and financial buyers.
For companies considering an IPO, I also have significant experience with how to structure the business section and MD&A. In particular, many companies have a main metric of gross merchandise volume or the equivalent, and we can work together to figure out how to present financial metrics in a way that will be appealing to investors while passing muster with the SEC.
